We have our computer protected by Norton's AntiVirus and to make a super long story short...

someone was trying to hack in to my blog or website....

and our faithful friend, Norton was putting a block on my blog.

So with that being said....

I saved my blog on my computer and created a new blog...

everything's the exact same only with a different address.

First and foremost....

a huge thank you to all the sweet comments and messages you gave me over my last post...whether it one a direct comment on here, via Facebook or in real life {ya, know...like real life?!}...it seriously made me feel ten times better.

I attempted to make my very first vlog post ~~even though I felt like a high pitched Southern~~ but unfortunately I haven't yet figured out how to upload it on here. Working on it though.

Tonight I had fun!

I've mentioned time and time again just how much I love the girls I work with.

They have become girls that I not only consider my co-workers but friends I enjoy spending time with.

Tonight, some of us made our way over to a local Mexican hotspot for some drinks and dinner.

I don't know if it's just me, but I'm wondering if they all look like they are zoned out or something.

I promise we just shared a pitcher.

Not Feeling Cute...

....can be kind of hard when shopping.

Tonight the hubs and I went to Dicks and to Old Navy.

My love got 2 golf shirts from Dicks, and a pair of jeans from Old Navy.

He of course asked if I saw anything I wanted, and my immediate response was,

"Nah...it's just not as fun anymore when you've gained some weight."

I get so tired of thinking about weight and health.

I wish everything wasn't so consumed with those two words.

And the sad part is, is after dropping a good amount of cash at the salon this evening,

I still gathered those not so lovely feelings and insecurities ~~in the clothing section~~

tonight.

It can get draining.

Speaking of getting my hair done...

I was needing some tender love and care in a very bad way.

I mean a very bad way.

No makeup, pretty much in the buff facial wise, and I look horrid.

I know I look like I'm doubting my new look,

but I seriously love my hair dresser.

She's incredible, and she never lets me down.

I'm sitting in the office here at home,

and I'm feeling overwhelmed by the stack of papers

that need to go get shredded.

Major junk mail.

And while on lunch today I noticed this happening....

and my hubs is consumed with it.

Neck Magic Air Cushion

I went to my Cardiologist appointment this morning.

Everything looked alright as in my EKG was fine, and my blood pressure was good.

I have to go back on Monday for a Echo and Stress test.

Basically with weight loss and exercise, my blood pressure should be a lot better.

And as of the chest pains...doctor said that's from just everyday stress and emotions that I carry with me.

Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers....:)

This girl makes me smile.

My sister...who has seriously become one of my best friends.

She makes me laugh everyday...and when I need someone to call when my little world gets crazy...she's my person.

I love her so much!

Since basically having to change my diet or else...

if I absolutely don't have time to run home on my lunch...

I make my choice of lunch....a regular Veggie sub from Lenny's.

So addicting, and so very delicious!

Sunday Randoms

For some reason, I feel like I hardly posted this past week.

I guess when you get used to posting everyday {if not more than once},

when you skip a day or two...

it seems odd.

Today my love and I are going to ~~attempt to~~ find

some new Spring-Summer clothes.

I know he won't have a problem finding some,

but I on the other hand....it's not that easy.

I made myself a glass of Cucumber water yesterday.

What's that you might ask.

It's a glass of water with slices of cucumber in it.

The taste is delicious, and so refreshing.

My hubs even enjoyed it.

I had to give both Buck and Kaci {2} Bynadryls last night.

Their allergies are horrible during this time of year.

When they are in the grass...

apparently the grass irritates their paws,

so they chew and chew at them.

I bought myself my first ever Strawberry plant last night.

I'm more of a shrub/flower girl.
We'll see how it turns out.

Tomorrow I have my appointment with a Cardiologist.

Please say a little prayer for me.

My hubs loves watching UFC.

We either order it on Paper view, or find a
a place that shows it for free.
Usually the two places are Buffalo Wild Wings
or Hooters.
However, last night...our couple friend's ordered
it at their house, so we got the chance to hang out with them
and watch it.
Us wives ended up going flower
shopping.

One more week till my vacation!.

It seriously cannot get here fast enough.

Thursday's Recap of Wednesday

Well, friends...

I survived.

{{If you have no clue what

I'm talking about,

read here}}

Not that I had any thoughts that I wouldn't...

but my visit with my lady doctor went well.

She thought everything looked normal {phew! wink..}

However, there was one thing that didn't really look too great...at all....

as in a scary way.

I have always had blood pressure readings on more of the high side....

like borderline hypertension.

However, my old primary care physician I was seeing never really mentioned

wanting me to go on any type of medicine to control it.

In my Confession's post, I spoke about being nervous.

I have to say it wasn't really about getting the exam done.

I really hadn't told anyone I had and have been experiencing chest pains

for close to a month....

{crazy, I know} just for the simple fact

I didn't want to create a mountain out of a mole hill.

**When I say chest pains, it's not a pain you would think would be with a heart attack.

They aren't sharp, just more of a pulsing, throbbing, flickering kind of pain

that makes me want to rub the pain out of my chest.

{That's really the only way I can describe it}**

The possible fact of hearing something pretty scary made me nervous,

not the actual exam.

So there at my doctor's visit,

when it came time to take my blood pressure,

it read 208/114.

Normal is 120/80....so in other words I was basically at stroke level.

During this time, I wasn't feeling bad...

I was feeling more like I was in a foggy zone,

like I could have slept for days.

I wasn't experiencing a headache, and

I wasn't experiencing any nausea....

I was just feeling very fatigued.

Since I wasn't currently experiencing any symptoms there in the room,

I didn't take the offer of my doctor calling an

ambulance for me to go to the hospital.

Instead...I checked out and went back to work.

Several hours later, I decided to stop by our local grocery store,

and recheck my blood pressure at the pharmacy to see if anything had changed.

Hardly any change at all.

With plans to lay down, I headed home, spoke to my hubs and

headed off to cozy myself up in my bed.

Right then it was decided that I might should go to the emergency room.

The nurses got me right in, plugged me, and

did an EKG on me.

Thankfully, I didn't have a stroke...and everything looked fine.

Unfortunately, I wasn't out of the woods at that point.

After some waiting, they got me in to a room and started

taking my blood pressure every 30 minutes or so.

It still was reading high...

205 over something high {I saw so many readings, I kind of lost track}

With an Xray and some blood work, everything came back normal.

No clots, my heart, lungs and everything looked fine.

My hubs was of course with me the whole time, and

my mom Tami came and stayed as well...which I was thankful for.

After several hours and doses of medicine through an IV,

my blood pressure got below 180....and we were able to go home.

We still are uncertain as to why it spiked so high, and what is going on with the

chest pains I've been experiencing.

I am hoping to get in with a primary care physician {I'm making my appointment tomorrow}

to get some information on what's going on, and from there if doctors feel I should,

I will be seeing a Cardiologist.

So, as of today....

I'm tracking my blood pressure everyday...

I'm drinking my water with lemon {out of my Copco cup, of course!}...

and I'm walking ~~whether my hubs goes or not~~ around our neighborhood.

Tonight, my love went with me along with the two puppies....and I really enjoyed it.

I have a confession.

I'm sure it's completely normal...

and a little bit silly,

but I thought I'd share.

Tomorrow is my very first appointment with my new women's doctor.

{sigh}

Just thinking about it, I get a huge ball of butterflies...

Why? I don't know.

I have a bad habit of thinking the worst in all things.

All the symptoms I have had...

create all those far fetched what ifs that send my brain in to a panic.

And when I say I have a huge ball of butterflies in my stomach...

I totally mean it,

because all those butterflies almost caused me to cancel

my appointment and reschedule for a ~~much~~ later date.

But then my ~~co-workers~~ friends told me

how much I needed to go....

to put my mind at ease.

So from blog friend to blog friend....

please say a little prayer...

because at 10am central time

I will be there.

1. The wind began to switch...the house began to pitch....

Weather has been crazy lately here in Tennessee.

It's kind of scary.

2. I love this tree.

Our back yard is coming along. I have planted several

shrubs, trees...and some monkey grass.

My favorite however is this huge tree we have.

I got a hanging plant this past weekend,

and I love how it looks.

I love that I am making time to sit

Even though there's not a link up with Katie...

I'm still gonna go ahead and do the usual

{I'm such a creature of habit}

I had such a fun day today!

With a few garage sales, and a few pit stops

{at Lowe's and Wal Mart},

the majority of it was spent at a Dog Park

that is in town.

On nice days, there is usually a decent amount

of dogs that come out to play.

Buck seemed to have a great time running

around like a mad ~~man~~ dog.

I can't remember this little guy's name but he was so

full of life!

At one point he decided to take a little mud bath...

And sweet Lily cooling down in the dirt...

My sweet Buck...

Maybe, just maybe...my next few posts will be other

than the subject of ~~Kaci and/or Buck~~ dogs...

Frustrations.

What a day.

I'm frustrated right now.

I'm frustrated because we goofed up. Apparently, I hate goofing up, because when I realize we goof up, that's all I think about, and it gets to me.

I know I shouldn't because we're only human, but I still do.

When I begged my hubs for a puppy, I thought I had everything planned out.

I thought I knew the basics, and the parts of training a pet that I wanted to bend, well that would be okay...because our pet would be totally fine and obedient, no worries.

I instantly fell in love with our Kaci. I practically treated her like our baby {and I still do...remember, I'm that crazy dog lady}.

She went everywhere we did...everywhere I did for that matter, even to work with me everyday, which in that aspect, my boss was a Saint for allowing that.

I thought getting her socially adapted would override everything else...such as not crating her, allowing her on the furniture...allowing her to sleep with the hubs and I every night.

But I was wrong...we were wrong.

Because of that, our furniture looks worn {it's only 2.5 years old}...I'm constantly having to wash our sheets because of the shedding...and seriously as I type...it kind of grosses me out all that dog hair, and it's all been because of the love we have for a pet.

Then one bright, sunny day...while browsing breeders online...I find an adorable male puppy of the same kind as Kaci.....a 7 week old American Eskie.

Not even thinking that my hubs would be interested, we decide to check out this adorable guy {and his siblings} which in turn ends in an addition to our family of 3.

It's not that I regret having our two fur babies....I don't at all.

I regret in the fact that we didn't do what we should have in preparing ourselves for the outcome.

If I would have known we would have had two pets, we probably would have leaned more to getting "gently used" furniture...rather than brand new. We would have looked into having outside dogs rather than permanent inside dogs, and so much more.

Right now, we have the issue of our "pretty much still new living room furniture" being ruined because of the choices we made in training our dogs.

We have several options:

Start crate training them, but I know that would be a pain considering how old Kaci is already {almost two, and Buck is almost one} but I do think it's worth it.

Buy new seat cushions from Rooms to Go {where we got the furniture} which is 50 bucks a pop...and needing five of them, well doing the math...that's 250 bucks not counting tax.

Find a slip cover which will be pretty pricey considering the sizes of this furniture...they're pretty big.

Or check Craigslist and sites like that for a used set of couches.

Those are the options that I have thought up.

Either way, we have to think about what will end the chewing that ~~these two puppies~~ Buck tends to do....

because we're getting really tired of dishing out the dollars.

We had some severe storms last night that kept me tossing and turning for quite awhile. Once my love gets home, this girls going to bed!

I really want to brag on my hubs right now....but I promised him I wouldn't when I found out this wonderful news. Just a hint : Work + Husband = Recognition

I deactivated my Facebook. It has been something I have been debating on doing, and finally today...I did it. There's too much drama, gossip...you name it, it's on there...and I'm first to admit I was guilty of every bit of it...well, I won't say every bit of it, because some of that stuff on there, I couldn't imagine doing. Hopefully you see where I'm going with this.

My lovey told me for our vacation this year we will be going on a Cruise!! I am so excited! Last year we had a blast!

A while back I mentioned how I wanted to find a woman's doctor that I could really feel comfortable and at ease with. One that I could stick with when we decide to have a baby. Well, with some high recommendations from several people, I made an appointment with a doctor for the 25th of this month. Hopefully everything goes smoothly.

Yesterday, I watched my recording of Sunday's episode of Coming Home. I had my box of Kleenex's ready, and believe me...I used them!!

Tonight, for the first time ever....I left Hobby Lobby empty handed. My love would be proud.

I mentioned a couple posts back about the neighbors behind us apparently setting their yard on fire. I don't know what it is, but the few issues we have had while living in this home...our fence is involved. I don't even want to think about what could have happened if the fire would have kept going. Thank you, Lord it stopped.

When I got home tonight...I found this on the kitchen floor.

When I'm Itching for a Change...

So I gotta share with you something I find easy, ~~somewhat~~ entertaining...and cures all my itching for change.

It's kind of like loving to rearrange your furniture....

seeing the endless possibilities and looks for your room.

It's the same concept I have towards my blog.

When I'm itching for a new look....I change the look of my blog.

You have probably seen that I will change the pattern or design on here like over night.

Well...luckily it's all free and I don't pay a dime ~~so the hub's isn't asking why I'm buying these layouts and only using them for a week or so~~.

If you head on over to Yummy Lolly...she's affiliated with Suck my Lolly designs.

She has listed a free template {under her design gallery} called BYO
background.

She even lists the directions step by step with little pictures to see in reference {for people who are visual...like me!}.

I have found numerous patterns and designs throughout her recommended sites...and even through my own research.

But in honesty...she has listed the best sites already in my opinion.
So don't think I'm wacko or even kind of crazy being so indecisive...

I just find it kinda fun...

Just Sayin'

I don't know what it was that triggered this thought today....

but believe it or not...

I was once told that my accent (yes, I have a southern drawl)...

was something this person and his wife worked very hard to try and not have.

It was something that pretty much was thought of as being hillbilly and country.

At the time, I just kind of laughed it off...didn't really give the comment the time of day...

but the more I think about it, it irks the daylights out of me.

Now realizing he was pretty much saying that I sounded basically not worthy to be talking to, let alone

be talking to him....

it just makes me want to call his butt up, and say,

"listen here...

This is who I am.

This is where I come from".

This Southern drawl is from having the pleasure of hanging out with some pretty great people...

and hearing their stories of "breaking their backs just to earn a buck".

It's where people say "hey, how are ya?" just because they can....not because they know you....

It's where drinking sweet tea out of a mason jar is commonly classified as simple etiquette...

just as drinking out of some expensive wine glass. {not that I'd drink sweet tea out of one}

I'm happy to speak the way I do....

and besides...

Pillows and Such

This afternoon, I had a craving for some Country Music Chicken Salad. (wonder why it's called that...ahem, Nashville.)

It is seriously the best Chicken Salad I have ever had.

There's a new Kroger Marketplace located in Gallatin (where I work) which is right next door to the little town we live in.

This place isn't like the normal Kroger's that you see everywhere.

This Kroger has furniture...a jewelry store, and everything else you can imagine.

While I was there, I decided to check out their home decor section (pillows, candles, pictures, etc).

I fell in love with all of their pillows.

Beautiful, aren't they?

Seriously, I'm glad I wasn't on a mission to come home with new pillows, because I'm sure I would have completely failed it considering how indecisive I can be.

And these little guys?

They triggered a funny memory I have...

In all seriousness, I had two pet frogs.

They were the nastiest, most annoying creatures I have ever come in contact with.

And to make it worse, I named them Sweet and Sour.

What the heck.

I ended up letting one go, and the other one?

It's where about still remains a mystery.

Yesterday I made a run to Goodwill on my lunch.

In my eyes...it was like finding a diamond ring....

okay, maybe not like a diamond ring, but pretty darn close.

I loved playing this game called Down Fall on our Cruise.

The object is to get the bundle of money to fall of the edge all the while by

inserting quarters. We won several different times. It was usually a bundle of

ones in a strap of 50.

{three} do you have a good sense of direction?I would say so...I'm usually the one telling the hubswhere we are.
{four} laptop or desktop?I love the convenience a laptop brings...but I dolike having a desktop.

My hair is finally growing. 1. Sweet Buck. He can be crazy hyper at times, but he seriously is one of the

sweetest puppies ever.

2. Sonic Beverages. Especially 2-4 when it's Happy Hour and every drink is

half off. And this little token is even better!

3. Scrumptious Dinner. I love these new Sandwich Thins I got at the store

yesterday. Tonight I made the hubs and I a BLT....along with some fresh

pineapple and some pickle spears.

at Goodwill a couple weeks ago.  

99 cents each, and I picked up like 3!

What I Love about Sunday...

I love productive days!

I don't know who doesn't, but anyways.

I woke up this morning and decided to take my butt over to our friend's house to pick up some monkey grass they were getting rid of.

I have always loved this stuff, and mainly because it's almost impossible to kill....plus it spreads like wildfire.

We have tons of it....

We're hoping to get it cut down in to smaller clumps to make it easier to replant...

hopefully we won't have a problem with all the rock in our yard.

Speaking of yard....

This is a small portion of the bones I found in the back yard from the puppies.

Good thing I grabbed them before the hubs continued to mow today.

Oh and I cleaned, washed and detailed my car as well.

Nothing like having a nice, clean vehicle
to drive. .

And in between everything the hubs and I did today...
we did get to watch the Masters.

He makes me laugh.

I have all of our local news stations listed under my favorites along with

CNN and LIFE.Very rarely will I catch the news on television.

This is a tough one. I wear what I like, and what I feel

comfortable in.

3. did you play sports in high school or college?

Nope...which I look back and wish I would have. I would

have loved to have played soccer.

4. would you rather give up lipstick/gloss or high heels?

Definitely high heels. I used to wear stillettos every day to work back in the day...and now my toes show

all it's damage. Definitely not worth it in my eyes. Flats it is!

5. what's your favorite show to watch on tv? I have several that I equally enjoy...House Hunters (not the international version), Intervention, anything on I.D. (Investigation Discovery), Snapped, and recently I have fallen in love with Friday Night Lights...thanks to Netflix and the hubs.

6. would you rather bake or cook? I prefer to cook.

7. shorts or skirts? Skirts! I love skirts.

8. what's your favorite scary movie?

Oh goodness. I like the suspenceful scary...not so much

Venting

My heart feels heavy tonight.

My sister didn't know what I meant when I texted that to her.

She thought it had something to do with weight...no joke. (oh the love I have for my sister.)

I have a person in my life, who will remain anonymous, who I feel causes me more stress than happiness.

I wish that I could make the slate clean, and go my separate way, but of course that is out of the question considering who it is.

I can't count the number of times that disagreements have come in to play between my hubs and I because of this person, and I know that it's because I allow this person to control my feelings.

This person is manipulative, and controlling.

They know what they do when they're doing it...but in that moment's time you don't realize it's being done till after the fact....so everything seems honky dorey in the present time.

I'm not here to throw a pity party...nor sugar coat every single situation in my life in to something it's not.

I have already said to my husband that if this person causes me stress during my pregnancy (whenever that will be), that that will be the end to the relationship we have.

I want things to be different, but I'm guessing when one is forced to like the other...sometimes it just aint possible.

That Little Green Monster

...totally came out of hiding this afternoon.

Yea...he looked like that.

Teeth, tongue and all.

And then I felt convicted.

and ashamed of myself.

Because I know that my husband knows what he is doing for our family.

I know that he knows my desire to have a baby, and I know he has said one day...

but not right now.

But then I want a new car.

Because I am tired of driving the one I have..

even though it's completely paid off, which means one less car payment.

And when he says no to looking at cars this weekend...

I go on to wanting to add some shrubs and trees to our yard...

when I know that is money right there.

And when he says, "why don't we focus on just cleaning out the front hedge....",

I move on to wanting a new laptop because "the Mini Netbook I got from his dad is too small"....

I know something I need to work on.

and it starts with a C.

It's called contentment.

It's called being focused on all of the many blessings I have here and now...

because one day...

that baby will be here...along with medical bills, and diapers....and new clothes...

and that ol' Grand Am that I am skirtin' around town in now is going to give up and die...

and we might not have the funds for a new car, but will be left with no other choice than to buy a new car.

And now as I type, I am so thankful that my hubby doesn't give me everything I want.

I have a friend who has a husband like that.

Everything she wants, he gives it to her...no matter if it's paid with cash or put on a card.

Which hey, each to their own.

I just know that obviously if I got everything I wanted...we'd be sitting in the poor house.

I hate to say this, but I haven't picked up my normal camera is months.

And I hate that because I begged my hubby for one.

i'm just thinking.

i can't sleep and to be honest with you i could care less about whether or not i capitalize my words in this post.

i'm sleepy, but like i said...i don't feel like sleeping..or let me rephrase that, i just can't fall asleep.

i just realized what april means.

it means the month my mom was born..and the month she passed away.

i seriously cannot believe it's already that time...it's already going to be a whole new year since she's been gone, and yet it once again doesn't feel like it.

i've been following this blog, don't waste your cancer...it's so awesome, and i highly recommend it.

i don't mean awesome in a way that i would say it's awesome because it's over decor or the latest fashion trends..

it's awesome because it's a young woman who is the same age as me, whose a wife, and a mom to precious ava.

she started this blog because it was a way to document her progress with cancer, and now since she is totally cancer free (praise the Lord!), she is trying to revamp and refocus should i say, in making this blog about living life, and loving it....loving her God, and loving her family more than ever.

she mentioned the other day how since being cancer free, the first thing she wanted to do is get rid of the hair she hid under a hat. obviously when she was going through chemo, she lost some hair.

so she decided to meet with a hairstylist and get a adorable little pixie cut. she totally rocks it, and it looks so precious.

one day when she picked ava up, ava noticed something was different about her mommy. she couldn't help but pat the back of her head, trying to figure out what was different. and all the while, it was like ava was telling libby that she knew she was her mom, and that she loved her no matter what...whether she had a pixie cut or not (she went from once having very long hair)!

it triggered a time that i will never forget.

i remember when my mom was going through her chemo sessions at st. thomas hospital in nashville. my mom was so strong and courageous for trying to beat the cancer, but obviously the medicine made her very weak.

i had picked up a card for her...it was seriously one of those "bright, sunny have a great day" type cards that i thought might bring some cheer to her room.

for what ever reason, my dad made me read this card to her.

as you already know, i couldn't get a word out. i cried, and cried...trying to read what i picked out and wrote, but i couldn't.

i remember my mom taking my hand, and with a look of "it's going to be okay, you are my little girl, and always will be...just know i'll always be your mom"...

even though these memories cause so many tears (my face is wet now), there's not an ounce of me that wishes i could forget them.

1. Weather. Storms throughout Tennessee started brewing mid morning, and

by the time noon came around today, rain and wind was right around the corner. It was pretty scary.

I was just happy that the hubs and I were safe and sound at our works...along with

our friends and family being safe, too.

And this was around lunch time...okay, I don't think you

can really tell just how scary it did look, but just believe

me...it was.

2. Smelly cuteness. Okay, I couldn't think of a better description, but

seriously, I love this stuff. My manager got all of us on teller row one, and it's so

convenient with it's size. I had it on my key chain for the longest time,

and I just took it off this evening. Oh how I love Bath & Body Works!

3. ~~Cruise~~ Vacation fever. When going through my purse that I was

going to switch to for tomorrow's outfit, I found something that made me long for one

all over again....our cruise! I seriously cannot believe it will be a year in August when

we took our very first Cruise to the Bahama's and Key West.

I so wanna go on one soon!

My Love for Bulleted Posts!

I love these socks. My sweet momma in law got me several pairs some time ago, and before I even put them on, I knew I would love them. They're that soft, kinda sorta fluffy type material. And in case you noticed, and was wondering...I do have two different ones on. I couldn't find the matching ones, so I just grabbed what was available. :)

So I mentioned here about my beloved laptop being on it's last leg. Well my daddy in law had an extra one he wasn't using...an HP Mini Netbook. I'm so thankful, but I do have to admit it's taking some time getting used to. It's half the size of what the normal ones are, and it seems the keys are shifted just a little bit. So when I go to hit the delete button, I actually find myself hitting the zero.

My hubs found Lord of the Rings on Netflix and asked if I cared if we watched it tonight. (Don't think he has to ask my permission or anything, but technically it was my turn to pick the movie or show we watched.) Of course being the ~~perfect~~ sweet wife I am, I said, "Sure". Is he in here now? Nope.

This weekend I am watching my parent's dog, Tobi. He's a precious Golden Retriever who has lots of energy! I'm planning on taking him on one of my runs to get him some good exercise! Pictures are sure to come.

I think I'm done on trying to make sure the space is exactly the same in between each of these bullets.

Buck has what we call around here a "baby". He lays with it...he occasionally chews on it, and he will sit there and lick on it (like dogs do when they clean something). It makes us laugh.

Alfredo Sauce

I made something that people would probably think I spent a good amount of time on...

but in all reality....

I spent a big, whoppin' 15 minutes on it.

Seriously.

And to make it even better, I would consider this a big girl's dish (not because of the calories or the fat grams), but because it just sounds challenging.

It even tastes like it would be challenging.

I made for dinner Fettuccine Alfredo...except the sauce wasn't out of a jar.

I can't even remember where I got the recipe, so I will say that where ever credit is due...I'm giving it to ya...and apologies will be given at any given time.

Before I list the ingredients,

I will say that I tried to use the healthiest I could with the ingredients

(light cream cheese, light butter....etc.),

but with a dish like this it's kinda sorta impossible to make healthy.

{1/2 cup of butter; 1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese; 2 tsp garlic powder; 2 cups of milk; 6 oz. grated Parmesan cheese; black pepper to taste}

Melt butter in a medium, non-stick saucepan over medium heat. Add cream cheese and garlic powder, stirring with wire whisk until smooth.

Add milk, a little at a time, whisking to smooth out lumps. Stir in Parmesan and pepper. Remove from heat when sauce reaches consistency. Sauce will thicken rapidly, thin with milk if cooked too long.

Toss with hot pasta to serve.

This will probably be the last time I fix this for a while,

just because it is so bad for ya...

but it sure was delicious!

The hubs just changed these corner spot lights on the house last night.

This week for Project 52, I have found it has to be one of the
most challenging topics
to find (that is if you want to be creative)...

I went for these light bulbs (can you see me?),
and as a reminder for the hubs when he reads my blog

1. Bless his sweet heart. I know your curious about this last sentence I wrote in reference

to the picture below. I made the comment to my honey Sunday night about how I was worried about

my flowers and the freezing temperatures coming about late that evening/early morning. When leaving for

work this morning this is what I saw. Oh that sweet hubs of mine. Little things like this is far more sweeter in my eyes than him bringing home a bundle of fresh flowers, in which I like those
too...

2. Thankful for a view! On beautiful days like today I am so happy I can

sit in my chair at work and look outside. It was gorgeous in Middle Tennessee today...a bit chilly, but

beautiful!

3. A favorite snack! I love pretzels....which is strange because I haven't always liked them.

The other day while at Publix, I found something new. I love the Everything Bagels, and I eat them ~~for~~

~~breakfast~~ quite often. So when it was made into a pretzel, I was smitten!

1. Too soon? Sorry friends about my couple of posts ago I gave about April 1st. I probably should have waited closer to date before I said anything. Something is in the works, I promise.

2. Running shoes. Today I went shopping with my bestie, and came back with some new shoes for running. I love when I leave the house on a mission and it ends up being successful!

I love how comfortable they are!

3. Car sick. The past few times I have rode in the passenger's seat, I have gotten nauseous....I mean, like to the point of almost saying something like, "please pull over...like now!". I am praying that this is something that passes quickly. I have had some issues with my ears in recent months, so maybe it's something connected with them. Please pray it's just a little spell.

4. Transferring. Starting Monday, I will be working at my old branch. Back in January I relocated to a different office because of some rearranging within the company. As of this past Thursday, a full time position became available, I spoke with management, and by Friday morning it was official that I would be relocating back. Needless to say, I had such a great time meeting new people, and learning new things at the branch I'm leaving, but I am excited to be going back! On Friday I was treated to lunch at Olive Garden...oh how I love that place!

5. Friends. Friday night, I hung out with some of my girlfriends. Technically, it was Book Club, but our discussion only lasted like 10 minutes about the book. We had fun talking about everything under the sun!

A Few Things

So I decided to go to the park after work today....

but I was limited to what shoes I could wear.

Because apparently, Buck likes to chew.

They are hardly walking shoes..let alone running shoes, and they actually hurt my feet.

Why I still have them in my closet,

is beyond me.

Looks like I will be in search of a new pair of running shoes soon.

One day last week, my bestie and I stopped by a local plant shop in town.

~~The hubs and~~ I are wanting to redo our landscaping in the front yard...

or at least add some more "ump" to it.

While talking about shrubs and what not,

the owner told me what I could do to save some money.

And so that is just what I did.

I have six bushes worth of this particular plant hanging out in my kitchen.

When the roots start to form, I will be planting them all throughout the yard.

They will be gorgeous when they finally mature.

And this is what my sweet hubs was doing in attempt to try and fix

my laptop.

I honestly think that it's just on it's last leg.

It looks worse in the picture than it really is.

He basically just took some screws out.

Hopefully the computer store can fix it...

because having to share a computer...

seems so different.

I worked as a cashier at H.G.Hills. You may have heard of the

ole Piggly Wiggly...it's a Southern based grocery store. Yeah, they're

owned by the same people.

{two} have you ever seen a stand up comedian?

Yes. We have gone to Zanies, a comedy club in downtown Nashville.

{three} when was the last time you played mini golf?

Mike played on top deck on our cruise. I was too busy getting pampered at

the spa (yea, I sound like I really regret it, huh?). But the last time I did...that

would be in Destin, vacation 2009.

{four} what was the last picture you took?

I'm thinking one of Kaci or Buck. Go figure.

{five} burnt food: yes or no?

Not too often.

{six} if you have a pocket full of change, what do you do with it?

put it in this big jug we have in our office here at home.

{seven} can you touch your tongue to your nose?

Nope.

I do or should I say I did. I just haven't in so long.

I seriously look forward to coming home

and doing this on Monday nights...

Oh Carissa..how this make me happy.

1. The Oil. I know y'all are probably getting tired of me mentioning the oil,

but I have to vent somewhere. Read here if you wanna get the scoop on...

(drum roll)

the oil.

So, the Hazardous Waste came to our location (sounds so mysterious, right?)

and it was determined that the damage the jhakjsdhjahsjashdk has done is extremely minor.

This?? Extremely minor? I don't care if it is extremely minor, it's our stuff

that he has messed up, and his "bad housekeeping", yes..that's what was said,

needs to be taken care of.


Seriously, throw your garbage away. Your garbage makes our neighborhood look bad, let alone our house look trashy.

2. Finally framed. When the hubs and I took our cruise last August

(dang time flies) with his parents, we took home one of the professional

pictures we had done on the ship. They are pretty pricey, but to our defense, his parents

bought ours. Finally, how many months later, I got a frame for it.

3. I <3 Goodwill. I love candles. I think I must have a gazillion

around our house, and even on the hottest of the hottest days, I still burn candles.

Even candles with absolutely zero smell to them.

Anyone else do that?

Anyways. Catch this joker.

Just trust me on the fact that the big, red circle is

around a ~~big~~ little price tag of $1.49.

Hm...I would say Cancer Prevention, and finding an overall cure for Cancer.

2. outdoorsy or indoorsy?
Both! It's nice to be able to relax inside, but there's seriously nothing like being outside on those glorious, sunny days. Love it.

3. pajama's out in public..classy or tacky?
Nah, I've never been one to wear monkey printed pajama bottoms with house slippers...or anything like that. Now, if you go to Walmart...I can say without a doubt you will see some people wearing them!

4. what's your favorite room in your house?
The living room. However, when we get a new bedroom suite, and our bedroom made over (whenever that will be), I'm sure we will be in the bedroom a lot more.

5. nook, kindle, or book?
I'm coming to realize slowly, I'm not a reader. I wish I could sit down and read a book, but it sooner or later bores me. So, none of the above.

6. would you rather wear the same outfit for a week or not brush your teeth for a week?
Okay, that's gross...and hopefully, there will never be a time in my life that I have to wear the same outfit for a whole week, or can't brush my teeth. (Gag)

7. what's your favorite blog at the moment?
Oh goodness...I have come across so, so many incredible blogs. Seriously. If I had to name just one, I would say Little Miss Momma is pretty fabulous. But seriously, there's so, so many out there!

8. lately I've been daydreaming about.........?

St. Patty's Day!

I have a tiny bit of Irish in me...

not much, but a little.

I wish I could say that I fixed a traditional St. Patty's Day dinner....(corned beef with cabbage...and a mug of green beer)....

but instead we ordered takeout.

Real festive. Not.

I obviously did not plan very well, and do I really care?

Not really. I'm not dwelling on it, and either is the hubs.

Instead I'm focusing on the fact that I purchased some plane tickets that my sister and I will be using in May.

We are heading to Orlando...and I couldn't be more excited!

We are heading to see my mom's side of the family, who I haven't seen in close to 13 years.

Although I am very excited, I am kind of nervous as well...but I know all of that nervousness will quickly fade after I see their smiling faces.

On another note...

Spring time arrived in our house.

When the hubs was out of town Tuesday night, I cleaned every nook and cranny there was in our house, and finished it with decorating Spring/Easter themed.

Okay, so from looking at these pictures...the Easter eggs are kind of bothering me that they aren't even.

I may have to fix that.

Other than that....this rabbit I snagged at an Antique store (it's hardly antique, but ya know how those places have a million and one different vendors....with a million and one different things.)...and I love it. It's probably one of my favorite pieces.

I took a couple more pics but they didn't turn out too good, so I decided not to post.

Frustrated

Read this first.

I'm feeling frustrated, aggravated, peeved....you name it, I'm feeling it.

Today when I left for work, I saw him disposing of more motor oil.

You would honestly think it would be like a kid stealing a piece of candy. You know, immediately when caught try and hide it or just drop it.

No. Instead he smiles and waves with one hand while pouring it in the spot we confronted him about.

At that point, I was thinking who cares about giving him time. He's had since December to get the oil picked up, and our fence looking how it did when we put it up.

I decided to take matters in to my own hands and call Nashville's Hazardous Waste department which is apart of the state.

They are coming out within the next few days (may be longer) and take a look at the area, and provide him with a Violation of codes.

He will then have a certain amount of time to get a professional out to his property and get it removed on both his property and ours.

If he doesn't, it will be taken to civil court, and then could be investigated by a Criminal/and or State investigator.

It seriously is ridiculous that something like this has to be taken to such extreme measures.

It's like part of me just wants to end it right here and not worry about it because of that. Court? Seriously? But then I think about Kaci and Buck. They are our family, and if something was to happen to them because of the oil (and heaven forbid antifreeze if he has the careless mind to do that), I'd never get over that.

But what he's doing is illegal, it's hazardous, it's getting in to the water system, and not to mention we have dogs that get out there and do their thing.

I'm nervous because I know what this might bring. My hubs stands beside me 100% for making this phone call, but we both know that it could bring some unwanted reactions and consequences.

Please pray that this will go smoothly, and not be a nasty neighbor fight.

1. Steel Magnolias. Seriously, do I need to elaborate on one of the best Southern

classics of all time? I find myself on repeat while watching this movie. Laugh, cry, laugh, cry.

"I'm just tickled pink watching it right now."

2. Five Guys Cheeseburger and Fries. Oh my word.

I have to limit my in take of this place,

because ~~if I look at it, it goes straight to my butt~~ it's just that good.

This Cheeseburger joint originated in 1986 in Virginia

and now has over 750 locations across the U.s.

And get this, it is a known fact that there is over 250,000 possible ways to order a cheeseburger at this place.

Delicious.

3. I told you I was a crazy dog momma. And so is the hubs.

Except a crazy dog daddy.

But seriously, how can one deny this precious sight?

And for my last one....

4. Saturday night, I'm attending the Teller Banquet my work is putting on.

I'm really excited. I'm sure pictures will be posted at some point this weekend.

Sunday Funday

I had a lot of fun today.

It involved a road trip with my hubs, and seeing ~~a handful of~~ people that I love.

We jumped in the truck and drove about an hour and a half away

to my Nana's house in Glasgow, Kentucky.

I wish I would have taken a picture of some of the greenest pastures

that we passed on the way there.

It was seriously the reason why they call it Bluegrass Kentucky.

When we arrived, I had to load up on hugs and kisses with the babies.

I told my Lovey that my baby fever had reached a temperature of 104 being around

them.

He of course gave a smile and rolled his eyes.

My sister, Angela with sweet baby, Sophie.

I so wish I would have gotten a picture of Olivia's face. She's such a cutie!

My nephews Brandon and Chase...the birthday boy! I can't believe he is

8 years old. Time flies by too fast!

My end of the table. Note my crazy hubs who

wasn't in picture mode. That's so normal for him.

It makes me laugh looking back at it, even though

it aggravated the snot out of me today.

I think by now, you can probably tell that I have a huge heart for ~~animals~~ dogs.

Mostly since our Kaci and Buck came in to the picture.

So when my bestie asked if we would watch her 8 week old, Lilly ( a yellow Lab),

I was all smiles.

Since the weather in middle Tennessee has been absolutely breath taking this morning,

we spent some time outside in the back yard.

Windows are up, back door is open, and I'm now itching for Spring to arrive.

1. What's the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to you??
Crazy, but my mind comes to a blank. I think just some of the stupid stuff I have said. When you tell a joke, and only you think it's funny...that can be kind of embarrassing.

2. Favorite holiday and why??
I love the Fourth of July. The whole atmosphere of family, friends, and food gathered around (usually by a pool) having so much fun

3. What's the weirdest thing you think you eat??
My hubs thinks it's weird that I love fake bacon or fake burgers (aka veggie bacon, veggie burgers) I don't think it's weird though...they're delish!

4. Favorite brand of makeup??
I love Avon Mineral makeup! Great coverage, and not expensive!

5. What color of crayon would you be and why??
I would say white. White goes with everything, and kind of how I would say about myself...I try to get along with everybody no matter who it is.

I have just recently started back at my artwork...but I do love blogging...surprise??

7. Biggest fear??
Losing another loved one. Anyone that I am close to would be hard, but I can't even think about the thought of not having my husband here with me. That makes me all messy eyed.

When my hubby asked me to be his wife....the beautiful proposal he gave, along with the ring...(sighhhhhh)

Not my Day

I started my day out on the wrong foot.

Cramps.

Excruciating cramps

hateful and rude customers....(still)...

a sick, frustrated hubs ~~with a messed up phone trying to receive my text messages that weren't going through~~ who couldn't find the Bynedryl...

equals one, not feeling so good, agitated wife who was overly hormonal to say the least.

But thankfully, apologies were said...

misunderstandings were made clear...

and my day turned around in a hot second.

Thank you, Lord for these bumps in the road...

because with out them,

days would be a lot less interesting..

And to you, lovey...

for having these in the fridge after a long days work.

However, you really do suck for

eating the last of my

Samoas. :)

Product Review: Dog Food

I have been meaning to do a post on this...

but hadn't gotten around to it till now.

And having a huge 30lb bag staring me in the face is kind of sort of a reminder to do so.

~~The hubs and~~ I recently switched to Nutro Natural Choice Dog food and Treats.

I knew that this would definitely be a change in how much we were paying each month or so on what we fed them, but truth be known...it's kind of been leveling out.

Coming from feeding them a cheaper brand...we really weren't feeding them food that was geared towards their needs and their breed.

Eskies tend to have allergies, hip and joint problems...and not to mention, our two in particular have acid reflux.

Since feeding them this brand, they haven't shown symptoms of the heartburn. They are eating less, and not using the bathroom as much.

Limited ingredients for dogs with sensitive stomachs
Glucosamine and Chondroitin for healthy joints
Antioxidants for a healthy immune system
Improves condition of skin and coat

The only thing I will say is it is costly, but luckily Nutro's website is always doing

coupons, rewards and promotions.

All in all, I would definitely say it is worth it! :)
